Welcome to the College Preparatory School of America (CPSA)! As a private, Islamic school, we aim to provide students with an environment conducive to academic success while promoting and preserving Islamic morals and values. We have dedicated ourselves to our motto Academic Excellence in an Islamic Environment.
Dear Families, Friends and Supporters of CPSA,
AssalamAlaikum and Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you, as part of our educational family, to another school year at CPSA. Our school has a reputation for dedication and excellence, and with our highly qualified and progressive teaching staff, we are committed to providing our students with an Islamically relevant and rigorous instruction, using technology and resources.
Our staff and administrative team have been very busy this summer. We have participated in staff development workshops and trainings which enabled us to further our expertise in various curriculum areas and refine classroom management skills. We also have spent valuable time previewing instructional materials for use in our educational programs. Academic emphasis on the core content areas of reading, language arts, science, social studies, math, Islamic Studies and Arabic will remain a priority as well as instruction in the arts, technology, and physical education, providing each student with the opportunity to develop skills in these areas.
Our focus is to consistently provide each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding school experience. We will continue our efforts to differentiate instruction at each grade level to meet the needs of each of our students and challenge them to realize their full potential. We will make every effort to address the academic, social and emotional needs of our students.
The greatest resource a successful school has is its people. Parents and community support is essential to who we are and what we hope to accomplish. Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and community to create a school vision and effectively convert that vision into student success, is our dedicated goal. Thank you again for your continued support and cooperation.
I look forward to working with you and your child throughout the school year to provide a productive and safe learning environment that supports student success. Dear Parents and Families of CPSAAssalamAalikum, I pray that you are in the best of health and iman. As we approach the month of May, students and staff are busy preparing for all the numerous events that signify that summer is near and the school year will soon draw to a close. Continuing in our efforts to plan for graduation ceremonies, field day events, semester exams, AP exams, and IOWA tests are all a reminder that we have worked to meet the expectations of the parents and school community, despite the many challenges we have faced this year. The board and administration are staying steadfast in their efforts to continue to provide the educational services to our students for this year and have begun the registration process for the 2010-2011 school year. InshAllah, we will overcome the issues that have been generated, by joining together as one community for the benefit of the students and school. We pray that Allah (SWT) guides us all toward what is right and just.
